Job Description:
As a Radiant Heat Technician at Flow Masters Plumbing, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of radiant heating systems. This role requires a solid understanding of various heating methods, particularly hydronic and electric systems, and familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Your work will ensure efficient and safe heating installations that meet client needs and local building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install radiant heating systems, boilers, tankless water heaters, and basic plumbing components.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct regular inspections, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair malfunctions in radiant systems, including hydronic tubing leaks, electrical issues, and thermostat/control problems.
- Technical Assessments & Documentation: Assess heat load requirements, pre-test/evaluate existing systems, document work performed, maintain accurate service records, and provide recommendations for system upgrades.
- Customer Service & Safety Compliance: Educate customers on system operations, maintenance best practices, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and local codes. Perform safety inspections post-installation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiant heat systems, plumbing, HVAC, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of hydronic and electric heating systems.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
